SCHEMATIC FIGURINES OF STANDARD TYPOLOGY
Their abstract form may be related to the rendering of certain notions. A schematic figurine with steadily repeated form may represent:
a) a religious notion, such as that of a deity or an amulet
b) a social notion, such as the qualities of a leader, of a magician/healer or those of a merchant.
c) more abstract notions, such as fertility, family etc.
A typology of human behaviour
is impossible to be established.
The Neolithic environment generates for the first time broader and more complicated social structures and figurine art reflects the importance given to the meaning of things.
